            son, you might want to
            consider keeping your
            working ends a little
            long instead of trim-
            ming them close to the
            knot.  Figure 11 shows
            a square knot that has

              In summary, know your rope, tie neat and tidy knots, and
            consider whether you’ll ever want to be able to untie the
            knot you’re tying, and if so, choose a knot that has charac-
            teristics that make it easy to untie.
