Aayesha: (curiously) Sir, I am curious to know how you planted these beautiful

                              trees and flowers.

Gardener: Well, my dear, these trees and flowers were not grown here in a day or

two. It took a lot of hard work and determination to grow them.
Aayesha: (with an expression of curiosity on her face) I don’t quite understand what

                              you mean.

Gardener: (explaining to her) Well, it took me many years to make this tree grow
so huge. It had to endure rainstorms, sunlight and strong winds. But I

did not give up. I worked hard day and night to plant these flowers and

trees, and take care of them. If we decide not to give up and work hard
to achieve our goals, we can surely succeed.

Aayesha: (realising her mistake) Oh! You know sir, I thought of giving up on

mathematics. But after listening to you, I realised I must not give up
and never walk away; I should practise more. I am sure my hard work

will pay off and get me a good score.

Gardener: Yes, my dear, you must not get disheartened. You should concentrate
more and you will never fail.

                Aayesha: (happily) Thank you, sir!

Aayesha is glad what the ants, the small bird and the gardener had taught her today.
Suddenly, doing mathematics seemed like a cakewalk to her.
