From Behind the StorieS
Rimi is a very talented girl. She participates in all the class activities. She sings,
dances, paints and plays football too. She also likes reading storybooks, cycling
and watching cartoons on television at home. Rimi’s final examinations are
approaching. As she is involved in many activities, it is hard for her to complete
her work. She is feeling sad and does not know what to do.
Rimi is sitting at her study table wondering what to do. Suddenly, she hears a voice.
She looks at the alarm clock. It is talking to her.
Clock: Hi Rimi! How are you doing?
Rimi rubs her eyes. She has an expression of surprise on her face.
Rimi: You can talk? This must be a dream!
Clock: I have always spoken to you. You have never listened to me.
Rimi wonders how she could not have heard the alarm clock speak to her earlier.
Rimi: (with curiosity) When did you speak to me?
