Once upon a time, there was a farmer who grew wheat in his fields. Every day, a
few crows would come and eat the ripening grains. This would make him furious
as he had to work very hard to grow his crop.
One day, he yelled at the crows.
Farmer: (angrily) You crows are such a menace! Why do you come here every
day and eat up my grains? This is my farm and my grains!
The crows were alarmed and flew away but some of them returned. Two of these
crows were, Tolu and Nedo.
Tolu: We are hungry. Please let us eat some grains.
Farmer: (firmly) No, I have worked so hard on this farm, how can I let you feast
like this! What will I eat or sell in the market?
Nedo: (in a requesting tone) Why can’t you let us have a little each day? We will
be grateful to you.
