You read about temples, religious rituals and social practices in
the story ‘The Bell’. India is known for its diversity. We celebrate
thousands of festivals every year. As someone living in one part of the
country, you might not even be aware of a festival that is celebrated
in some other region. Let us try to learn more about our regional
festivals through this activity.
Each student in the class should look up the Internet and find
out about a less popular festival from another region and make a
poster for it. Then, organise a gallery walk, and let all the students
walk around and look at everyone else’s posters, to learn about the
different festivals celebrated in the country.
