have chosen to pass the Abundance and Appreciation
award along to Mat Groh. Mat has displayed a passion for the trade, great attention to detail and craftsmanship.Mat easily travels the furthest of anyone I’ve talk to on the job, sometimes taking him two and a half hours to get home.
Being a single father and traveling so far, Mat rarely complains about the commute or the struggles of being a single father... (well maybe sometimes about his baby momma but that’s beside
the point.) Even though
Mats an apprentice, he’s
helped me grown as an
electrician- being that
this is my first union
industrial job.

t It’s now time for me to pass on the VECA Abundance
and Appreciation Award. There is a long list of candidates to choose from, but no one more deserving to receive this award then Charles (Sonny) Graves. I have worked with Sonny for over 10 years at many different projects.
Sonny’s work ethic, dedication and positive attitude are one of the best I’ve ever seen. Sonny is always a pleasure to work with and to be around. His commitment to excellence and the VECA values Is why I’m passing the VECA Abundance and Appreciation Award to Sonny Graves.
JUNE RECIPIENT: Charles (Sonny) Graves (left), Petr Rybnikov (right) TMessage from Sonny Graves
his was definitely a hard task to choose just one person
for this award because there are many people deserving of this at Veca that I can think of. Luckily I didn’t have to go farther than the project I am currently on in choosing Petr Rybnikov. Petr and I both came out of the apprenticeship around the same time and have both been with Veca for over 10 years. Through the years we have worked on several projects together, and I have always admired how HARD he works, his willingness to help out, and his knowledge of the trade. Petr has always had a positive attitude and a solution driven mentality. These qualities and more are the reason why I chose to pass on the Abundance and Appreciation Award to Petr Rybnikov.
He was willing to give me a few pointers and help me. Give Mat a task and he does it without many questions or redirecting. And this is why Mat is deserving of this award.

have chosen to give Jeff Oen the Abundance and
Appreciation Award. Jeff was actually the guy that gave me my first on site orientation which was one of the most informative orientations I've had. At first I thought he
was just another GF that I'd never talk to again after that. However he made a point on his job walks to stop smell the roses and check up on his guys.
I got to know Jeff better towards the end of the job when he had the opportunity to put the clipboard down and come play with the insidewire Men. He is a very relatable guy and made coming to work exciting. He wasn't scared to get into the physical labor parts of work making sure to show me tips and tricks of the job. Overall Jeff was a pleasure to work for.
