EASY GEORGIA CAKE

1 stick margarine 2 C. plain flour
1/2 C. salad oil 2 C. sugar
1 C. water 1 tsp. soda
2 eggs 1/4 C. cocoa
1/2 C. buttermilk
Place margarine, oil and water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Place
remaining ingredients in mixing bowl and pour hot mixture over this. Beat well. The
mixture will be thin. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes in a 9x13” pan.
Filling:
1 stick margarine 1/4 C. cocoa
8 T. canned evaporated milk 1/4 C. chopped nuts
1 bx. 4X powdered sugar, sifted 1 tsp. vanilla
Place margarine and milk in saucepan and bring to a boil for 1 minute. Poue hot
mixture over sugar and cocoa. Add nuts and vanilla. Beat well. Pour over cake as soon as it
comes out of the oven.
APPLE NUT CAKE

3 C. self-rising flour 1/4 C. orange juice
2 C. sugar 2 C. apples
3 eggs 1 C. nuts
1 1/2 C. oil
Mix sugar, oil and eggs; add juice, then flour, apples and nuts and last vanilla. Bake
at 350° for 45 minutes.
Topping:
Melt 1 stick butter, add 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup buttermilk; bring to a boil. Make
small holes in cake and pour Topping over cake while hot.
