EASY CARAMEL FILLING OR FROSTING

1/2 C. butter 1/4 C. milk
1 C. brown sugar, firmly packed 2 C. powdered sugar
Melt butter in a saucepan. Add brown sugar. Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add milk, bring to boiling. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar gradually, beating
well, then spread on cake.
CHOCOLATE FROSTING

2 C. sugar 2 squares chocolate or 6 T. cocoa
1/2 C. butter Dash salt
1/4 C. Karo syrup 1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 C. milk
Bring to good boil and boil 1 minute. Beat until cool and ready to spread.
FOUR LAYER CAKE

2 1/2 C. self-rising flour 1 C. buttermilk
1 1/2 C. oil 1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. vinegar 2 C. sugar
4 eggs
Mix together and bake for 25 minutes at 350°.
Frosting:
1 lg. ctn. Cool Whip 1 C. sugar
1 8-oz. ctn. sour cream 2 lg. cans pineapple
Mix all ingredients together.
