File System Hierarchy Standard

          File System: - The File System can give the convenient and Secure way for Storing or Maintaining the
          Data.

                 The Administrator divides the file system in 4 types.
             1.  Physical File System
             2.  Logical File System
             3.  Swap File System
             4.  Network File System

             1.  Physical File System: -
                 We can split to the hard disk in numbers of partition. It keeps the partition creation date and time.

             2.  Logical File System: -
                 Physical Partition or Large space converted into block, sectors and Cylinder.
                 Ex-Windows- FAT 16, FAT32 and NTFS.
                      LINUX – ext 2, ext 3, Ext4 , xfs (Extend)
                      Solaris – UFS (Unix File System)
                      IBM – JFS (Journal File System)
                      HP Unix – H.P.F.S

             3.  Swap File System
                 This Swap Memory allows supported to the RAM. Sometimes acting as a RAM.

             4.  Network File System
                 We can share our information over the Network
                 Ex-Window – DFS and FTP.
                 LINUX / UNIX – NFS, FTP and SAMBA.
