With Love to my dear Students .....
This unique profession of being a mentor has given me a great scope to rejuvenate
not only my academic qualifications but also my attitude towards teaching and
learning. In fact, learning hands on experience as a teacher is vast and incomparable
to any other documentable qualifications that we acquire on papers. This unique
experience at every stage has moulded me to be a finer human being. Being always
with the young folk, I feel more strong, enthusiastic and energetic.
I would be glad to leave some in prints of my experience as a teacher which could be
of some use to the generations ahead.
➢ Be more human.
➢ As you handle people, don’t criticise, condemn or complain. Accept the person
as they are.
➢ Wherever it’s possible, give honest and sincere appreciation to the person
ahead.
➢ Be a good listener.
➢ Encourage others to participate in the conversations and do not dominate.
➢ You should always talk in terms of other person’s interest.
➢ The only way to get the best of an argument is to avoid it.
➢ You should show respect for others’ opinions. Never judge any other person
to be totally wrong.
➢ If you are wrong, you should admit it quickly and emphatically.
➢ Be sympathetic to others.
If there is only one secret to success, it lies in the ability to get the other person’s
point of view and see things from that person’s angle as well as from our own.
