About the Illustrator
JEAN-BENOÎT HÉRON is from a family of publishers and illustrators.
Trained as an engineer, he began to work as an illustrator in 1995.
He specialized in architectural drawings, both on land and sea, and
exploded-view drawing of monuments, reconstructions, lighthouses, and
boats. He regularly works for the National Marine Museum in Paris, the
Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, the medieval construction site at
Guédelon Castle, and the National Monuments Center in Paris. He also
works with various other publishers.
Héron is the author of Ces bateaux qui ont découvert le monde (2013)
and the illustrator of Histoire(s) de phares (2015).
