For the first time, we are away from home for such long hours, without mum or dad; we
cried and looked out of the window for any familiar faces. Our teachers gave us hope
that we will be fine, assuring us that our mummies and daddies will come for us.

Ms. Fatoki kept checking up on us and with time we became used to the school
environment and started to enjoy the routine. We learnt to tidy up after snacks and play,
we also learnt to return materials after working with them. We developed our social
skills, increased our vocabulary and grew to love our teachers.

We can feed ourselves now and have become smarter. Diapers are fast disappearing
from our bags because we are now potty trained.
To obey the class ground rules was one of the first lessons we learnt. Recess and lunch
time happens to be some of our favourite activities. Nap time gave us a chance to rest
our little heads, hands and feet. We woke up to our exciting Elective periods where some
of us went swimming, while some others went for football, dance, ballet, story time etc.
Just as we were growing to love our school, classroom and everything that happens
around it, our class suddenly moved to the screen. We could only see Ms. Rose singing,
clapping and smiling at us. We miss the hugs and all our friends and nannies. We have
enjoyed different learning experiences online with our parents and carers at home but
we want to be back in school, back to our teachers and back to Ms. Fatoki.

As some of us move on to the next class, we are happy for you but will miss you dearly.
With 12 active boys, 1 cute girl, 2 nannies and 1 teacher, we made up the happy
Buttercups bunch.

Ms Rose Henry.
