What to ask about during

Initial Contact

• If the survey will be done remotely, check
whether the person has needed technology
and confirm:

• The type of device the person will use
(laptop, tablet, smartphone)
• Whether they are using a Mac or PC

• Whether the person wants anyone else to be a
part of the survey meeting

• If so, confirm whether the additional
person will be physically with the person
or video conferencing in separately

• Phone number for dropped call procedure

• How to send meeting information and
reminders (text, email)

• Time and date of the survey meeting

• Remember to give the person information on
the best ways to set up for the meeting. 20
