“Mirror Image Leadership Academy means the whole world to me.
I have come a long way in this program. Before this program, I was
getting into trouble not just in school but at home as well. I come
from a background of men who didn’t make the best choices. MILA
has shown me I can be better than that.”
- ALMARI KITCHEN (9th Grade Scholar)
“Mirror Image Leadership Academy has been a blessing to our son,
Yunel, and our family. The support, impact, and sincerity of the
board, leadership, and staff have been irreplaceable. Over the past
three years, we've witnessed our son evolve into a well-rounded
leader. The exposure trips have broadened his perspectives,
showing him life's possibilities, and inspiring him to reinvent
himself into something he would have never imagined. MILA is a
progressive MOVEMENT. We are so grateful to MILA for its limitless
potential and pray for continued blessings on its mission to enrich
the lives of others."

“MILA has tremendously impacted the life of my son, Travis Carter,
who has gained so much wisdom and self-determination. From the
beginning to now, Travis has developed remarkable confidence.
As a single mother, I've observed improvements in Travis's sincere
humility and respect towards me, his sisters, and everyone he meets.
Before joining MILA, Travis was passionate about sports. Through
many of the educational exposure trips and influential leaders, he
has been able to find purpose within himself and really see the
countless opportunities life offers. With MILA’s faith-building, he
believes that all things are possible. MILA has had a major impact
on his school grades, his overall academic performance, goals, and
family values. Travis now desires to further his education beyond
High School, in Finance and Business Management at an HBCU and
eventually start his own business. As a MILA scholar, the impact is
remarkable. Thank you, MILA, for this wonderful experience."
