10 FOOTBALL VICTORIA - Empowering Lives through Football Program

          THE PROGRAM





          Program Partners and Providers



          A Powerful Collaboration



          The Football Victoria - Empowering Lives Through Football program is overseen by Football Victoria
          Executive Manager, Karen Pearce, and managed by Head of Diversity and Inclusion, Nick Hatzoglou.

          Program staff work closely with identified Youth Support Services to deliver the activities.

          All staff in the program have been trained for their role, and have appropriate Working with Children Checks,
          and other appropriate experience and qualifications.

          Phase 1 of the program involved collaboration between the following providers…

          FOOTBALL VICTORIA/FOOTBALL INDUSTRY STAKEHOLDERS

          •   Football mentors including Josh Kennedy (former Socceroo), Kamal Ibrahim (One Ball), Hakeem al-Araibi
             (Community and Human Rights Advocate), and other male and female professional footballers
          •   Community staff
          •   Football staff.

          YOUTH SUPPORT SERVICES

          •   Getting Ready For Life (Youth worker role)
          •   One Ball Youth Consultancy (Youth positive psychology role, and soccer wellbeing program facilitator)
          •   Department for Justice and Youth Safety
