The Health Sector and RFDS
The health sector is economically an organisational complex, akin to a
real life Rubik’s Cube.
The health sector is labour, capital and transaction intensive.
At the acute end, the LGH or RHH are similar to a large passenger or
navy ship, self-contained, using all manners of power, including nuclear,
and has to be able to keep operating in all circumstances.
And for the RFDS, in addition to being a health service, we add in the
requirements of working in remote areas, Aviation/CASA and being a
Charity/ACNC.
