• An agreed process to allow an investment into new services and for the
disinvestment from services that have not achieved required outcomes,
based on evidence and according to need.
• The mapping of all health and related funding, and services being supplied
to remote and rural communities. The engagement of the community with
setting priorities and the establishment of short, medium and long term
health priorities that are understandable, measurable and reported.
• The achievement of a suitable balance between the investment/provision in
health prevention, promotion and early detection; more advanced
diagnosis and treatment; rehabilitation and return to home (note the need
for longer-term investment to achieve improvements in health outcomes).
