SOUL DIVE SHOW

Brimbank Live has given me both the tools and confidence to
speak about issues and topics that are important to me.

It’s provided me a platform for these discussions to transpire as
well as mentors which have guided and encouraged me during
the duration of the project.

This has given me a sense of place and community within the
ARCHIE THOMPSON Brimbank space.

Brimbank Live has not only allowed me to grow personally, but
has furthered me professionally to gain contacts, engage in
dialogue and create a space for myself in the community radio
world.

I have gained experience in speaking and hosting on a public
forum, as well as the opportunity to understand the ins and outs
of media interviewing.

These skills are exceptionally important for me in pursing my
future academic endeavours.

Brimbank Live has also allowed me to be mentored and guided
by radio and community professionals, which has given me the
competency to become job ready within the media space and
gain transferable skills far beyond.

Brimbank Live has allowed me to share my passion for social
justice and community issues on various media platforms, which
I had previously not engaged with and had limited access to.

It’s given me a stepping stone to share my knowledge about
important matters in a way that is both accessible to the
community and the world at large.

Brimbank Live has been an encouraging, positive and safe
space for diverse participants to initiate conversations and share
knowledge. It is a great reflection of the Brimbank community
and allows a new and innovative way of showcasing Brimbank
talent.
