CEO STATEMENT

Hi everyone

I’ve been very fortunate to be part of our beautiful game as a fan and administrator for several decades.

Like many of you, I love football and am forever grateful for what the generations before us did to make the
world game what it is today.

It’s for this reason we engaged Ralph Barba, a renowned Football Commentator and expert, to undertake an
Independent Review of our Historical Program designed to better tell our story and celebrate our diverse and
rich history.

As the custodian of the game in this state, Football Victoria has the Football Victoria Historical Committee to
oversee the collation and maintenance of Victorian football’s history.

In our bid to be as thorough as possible, we have sought feedback from you, our Victorian football family, to
help us establish a dynamic and progressive process to record, maintain and celebrate the game’s history in this
state.

The material collected from this survey has been collated into 10 recommendations that the Football Victoria
board will consider.

I take this opportunity to thank Ralph Barba for his outstanding work and each and every person who has
contributed to this review.
