Being professional means that you abide by the codes of practice for radio broadcast in Australia.
This basically means that you are always respectful when you speak about others, even if you are
debating them on-air.
You should be careful never to defame anyone. If you do there are plenty of listeners available to
testify against you in a court case where you are being sued by the person you have defamed.
4. GO FOR THE BIG GUESTS
The quickest way of attracting attention is by promoting widely that you have a well-known
celebrity or guest on your show.
Securing a big name guest is easier said than done however, and a lot of hard work needs to be
put in by the team to make it happen.
Respectful persistence and politely not taking no for an answer is a strategy that can lead to
surprising wins in many cases.
