THE RADIO FORMAT
PODCAST APPROACH
Having your students produce a professional podcast
using on-air radio presenting techniques can be a rich
learning exercise in literacy across the curriculum.
If this is your preferred approach, it is recommended
that you spend some time with your students
watching the training videos and downloading THE
PRODUCING A PODCAST GUIDE FOR SCHOOLS
provided with this resource.
PODCAST CONSIDERATIONS
When planning the production of your podcast there
are two important questions you and your students
need to consider.
1. How will students interview your visiting STEM
expert?
2. How will you produce a high quality podcast?
YOUR APPROACH TO
INTERVIEWING YOUR
VISITING STEM EXPERT
The approach your class takes to interview your
visiting STEM expert is at your discretion.
There are two approaches you might want to consider.
The CLASS Q&A approach or RADIO FORMAT
approach.
