With a simple recording app, the right technique and
practice, mobile phones and iPads can be used to
record podcasts with good audio quality.
AUDIO RECORDING IPHONE AND IPAD APPS
There are many free audio recording apps available
online for download that you can use to record your
podcast using your phone or iPad.
For iPhones and iPads an app such as Opinion (www.
opinionpodcasting.com), and for Androids an app
such as Anchor, provide simple to use platforms for
teachers with little experience in producting podcasts.
AUDIO QUALITY IS KEY
Audio quality will make or break your podcast.
If you are not familiar with podcast production and
decide to use a phone or iPad for recording, make
sure you have your students experimenting and
practising before the interview to ensure they capture
the best audio quality with their device.
