EDITING SOFTWARE

USING A MOBILE PHONE OR IPAD APPS TO EDIT
YOUR PODCAST

Mobile phone and iPad audio recording apps, in most
cases also have editing capability.

This capability is usually quite basic and limited but
can produce reasonable results in the absence of
computer software.

EDITING AUDIO ON A COMPUTER

There is a range of free to paid audio editing software
options for computers available online.

Audacity (www.audacityteam.org) is a universally
used free platform that is used by radio stations and
novices alike.

If your school has an Adobe Creative Suite license,
your students can access Adobe Audition, which is an
industry standard software for editing audio.

As with any high end software, students will need
to spend some time learning the basics of its use to
make sure they can produce a high quality podcast
product.
