Nick on the Moxy show in San Antonio I helped you guys in your Merch
booth. I was blown away you by how many people mobbed the you
     guys at the Merch booth.
So was I! I always heard the rumors that San Antonio was a MOXY town but
after that performance and the reaction from the die hards it was plain to see
that it wasn’t a myth! LMAO.

Earl do you have any cool stories about Bon Scott when AC/DC opened
for you on tour? Photo by Daraious Billimoria
I Didn’t talk with the guys much at all. Only incident was when I had to
remove Bon Scott from my room and he wasn’t impressed. He took a
swing at me and kinda fell over. I picked him up and dropped him off at Angus room down the hall.

Earl and Nick who were your influences growing up?
Nick: I grew up in a household that spanned generations. My older brothers listened to Rock from the 70’s like ,
Zeppelin, Rush, Aerosmith and Queen while my folks listened to Beatles and 50’s era music. When I started to get into music
at a very young age my groups were KISS, Queen and Alice Cooper. As I got older it was AC/DC, Maiden, Queensryche and
     Dio.
Earl: Chuck Berry, BB King, Keith Richards and then Johnny Winter – Jimmy Page – Jeff Beck– Eric Clapton and now Joe
Satriani and Steve Vai. BTW I’m still growing up. Being a musician is a constantly learning and growing
experience if you love what you’re doing.

I have so many different influences that span the
gamut of ROCK! Freddie Mercury, Rob Halford,
Bon Scott all the way to early Geoff Tate...To

I mean DLR wasn’t much of a singer but he
definitely had somewhat of an influence as did
others who may not technically be the greatest
but they gave some other quality that was
                                                                                         effective.

Earl and Nick what is some of the music you
                                                                                         listen to now?
Nick: I listen to everything that I think is good.
Music is the soundtrack of our lives. If I wanna
hear more modern I may listen to Avenged
Sevenfold or Stone Sour, if I am cooking and
sitting down to a nice meal I may listen to Smooth Jazz.
Earl: Music is meant to reflect the mood and moment you are in. I love grilled cheese sandwiches but that doesn’t mean I
wanna eat them every day. HA HA As a guitar instructor I listen to a lot of incredible players as mentioned above. There are so
many new highly technical players pushing the boundaries of the guitar that it keeps life as a guitarist – instructor constantly
interesting. New guitarists such as Chris Broderick, Guthrie Govan and others continue to inspire me that there is always more
     to learn.

Nick and Earl what Moxy plans do you have for 2016?
Nick: We are hoping to finally get a release in our home country of Canada and play the
summer festivals. The music lends itself to that medium and it’s always a great time when
people are enjoying music in the outdoors.
Earl: We both hope to see the CD/DVD finally released here in Canada next year, perhaps
under a different title and we’ll go from there. I often with talk with Nick and Rob about that we
have a helluva good first album if we can get a promo machine behind it. It’s gonna be a go
big or go home year in 2016 for us. There are festival dates booked already and we hope to
break into Europe at some point.
