BOB DEE PETRO
VOODOO MOONSHINE
WITH
Hello Bob Dee with Petro and welcome to Rocknation. You just
finished up a West Coast Tour in March please tell us about the shows.
Hi Tom, Great seeing you and thank you for having me..
Yes.. wow..what an awesome tour, we played support for Enuff Z’nuff on a few
shows.. I have known Chip Z’Nuff since the Cat Club Days in NYC.. Great seeing
him and the best part was seeing all my west coast fans that drove up to 2 hours
to see me play. My cousins and family came to my shows too and got to hang with
my buddy Fred Coury at The Rainbow .. Awesome night!. I am blessed.. Our best
show was at The “Whisky A Go Go” My band kicked ass .. The best night we had
on the tour.. We also played a radio show C40C radio at a music store with a Q&A
first with host Linda Maria Peralta then we played a set.. a cool experience. I got to
meet some amazing people through the band out there.. my new family in the OC.
I have to thank Alison Masson At MBM Music for an awesome tour!!

You always have some exciting players in your band, who has been in your band recently?
I hear yah Tom. The best in the world ..for my west coast tour.. I had Ronny North on guitar awesome player he has so many guitar endorsements..
he has the sound that brought my songs to life, Jason Russo on drums kicked ass.. great having him play and the best is Liza Sanchez on bass .. Liza
rocked the house .. her bass sound was amazing ..total low end sound that just filled the room. The whole band rocked every show..I was stoked to play
the West coast shows!
What artist has had the biggest influence on you?
In some of my previous interviews I stated I was really into HIM a goth type band .. but recently working on my new album I started going back to my roots
like “Kiss” Mott The Hoople and Queen.. The old records sound so pure amazing.. I got to see Kiss at Madison Square Garden final tour they sounded
amazing.. It brought me back to my young rocker days with my Gibson Les Paul through a Marshall sound.
You have played all over the world, Europe & Japan what was the craziest fan response you had so far.
One of my favorite nights was in London on my birthday we got to the venue and we got bumped to play 1 am slot .. so we just walked around London
went to all the pubs and just drank.. by the time we got to the venue it was packed .. it was also the London heat wave.. by the time we got onstage the
crowd was kicking ass rushing the stage going wild .. it was so hot in the venue sweat was pouring off of me, in some of the photos.. my famous Ramones
photo UK with my head down.. well in that photo.. I was gasping for air it was so hot.. Awesome show I will never forget.. what a crazy night playing with
my mates Ade Fisher: guitar, Norm Appleby: bass and Paul Atkinson :drums That tour was awesome playing support for the Legendary Chris Holmes
from WASP.. he was the coolest guy to play with.. I have heard so many stories about him but he treated us with respect he helped my guitar player Ade
hook up his amps and hung with us backstage.. real cool!!
You have mentioned about working on a short film that you wrote and will direct. Is there an update on that?
Yes.. my short film.. My passion I swore I will get it filmed.. All is set to go from the script to the actors locations etc .. We had one investor pull out .. so
back to looking for an investor to help fund the film.. if anyone out there is interested please contact me!!! It is a short 10 min film!!
Have you planned any shows this summer?
Yes.. right now we are going into the studio in June recording new songs.. I came back to NYC after my West Coast tour energized and wrote so many
cool songs.. I have been recording off and on the last couple of months .. I cant wait to get the new album finished!! We will rock!!
If you had to tell someone what your new music on KILLSTAR sounded like, what bands would you mention?
Its interesting that you say that.. I just sent my album to one of my old friends.. I won’t say his name
who programs all the SiriusXM radio and he says …hmm.. cant get you on Ozzy’s Boneyard
cause you are not heavy enough.. and I cant put you on Pop radio cause your too heavy.. I would
get you on alternative radio and college stations .. Hmmm well I guess that is your answer.. I love
that I am not in a category!! I am me!! Bob Dee and my band Petro .. I will always be true to my
heart and my roots .. I just travel the world with my Les paul and plug into My Marshalls and Now
My Voodoo Amps… and rock.. I have been playing clubs concerts since I was 16 years old! I will
never stop!
Thank you for taking time for this interview. Any last words to the fans?
Thank you Tom.. Always a pleasure.. I want to say thank you to all My fans around the world..
without you there would be no Bob Dee.. I am so happy that wherever I play in the world fans are
always there for me.. if in the UK, Asia ,USA, Canada.. All driving hours to see me play.. It means a
lot to me.. I want to Thank you all!! New songs and album and concerts coming .. Also.. you heard it
here first..we recorded a Christmas song for the holidays!!! See you all on the Road!!!
