Mass is measured by instrument called balances. Common laboratory
examples of instruments used to measure mass are the beam balance and
the electric balance.
A triple beam balance is an accurate and
reliable method of measuring mass. Most
triple beam balance can measure masses
to 0.01 kg. A triple beam balance is also
called as Ohaus balance
One advantage of the electric balance
over the beam balance is that reading can
be obtained very quickly.
