P. 136
Our parents fixed a lunch date and finalized plans before we could
change our minds. There was one thing common between both our parents
which was that their only children had never listened to them, and now that
we were settled, they could finally heave a sigh of relief. After our big fat
Indian wedding, where people danced till they dropped, we left for a month-
long honeymoon to San Salvador Island where we spent all our time
snorkelling, scuba diving, fishing, eating and making love.
Yes, my life had been more than adventurous (okay disastrous
actually), but finally, it seemed like I would enjoy an everlasting ‘happily
ever after’.
