Gunta Douglas

Gunta has been a dedicated Girl Scout for many many years,
frst as a staff member who understood the needs of the girls
and the adult volunteers over the life of the council, and now
currently as a volunteer herself. She has contributed in ways
that are not known to many, and rarely takes credit when credit
is certainly due to her. She is a good friend and a valued member
of the Girl Scout team!

For over 50 years, Gunta has given her countless time and
energy to promote Girl Scouting in our council. Both as a former
staff member and as an avid volunteer, she has led or been
involved in programs such as domestic violence, Habitat for
Humanity and numerous adult recognition events. Her current
involvement on the Fund Development committee, serving as
Chair of the adult event “Something Special” and working to
further alumnae involvement in our council shows us all that
this scout has not fnished yet.
