BUILDING A TEAM
At the heart of a yearbook is the team that created it—the joys and
struggles of the students who planned, wrote, photographed, reported
and designed flow through each page. Its publication is truly a team
effort. Unfortunately, teamwork is a not a skill that can be taught; it
is a mindset that must be grown. With pressing yearbook deadlines,
team-building sometimes falls by the wayside. However, taking the time
to create a solid team structure is the backbone for your publication and
yearbook program. From organization and accountability to games and
celebration, this chapter will give you the tools you need to start building
your team.
