Lapostolle is owned by the Marnier-Lapostolle family (of Grand Marnier fame), and since
the winery's foundation in 1994 has pursued an uncompromising approach to quality.
Their objective is as simple as it is ambitious: to create world-class wines using French
expertise and the superb terriors of Chile. The Lapostolle holdings consist of three
vineyards, each in different region and each chosen specifically for its affinity to certain
grape varieties: Casablanca for Chardonnay and Pinot; Requinoa for Sauvignon, Merlot
and Cabernet; Apalta for Merlot, Cabernet and Carmenère. Not only is the fruit hand-
harvested at night, but much of it is hand-destemmed, to ensure it begins fermentation
in immaculate condition.
CEO, Charles de Bournet is the son of the founder,
Alexandra Marnier-Lapostolle.
