Personally, this has been one of the more
enjoyable practicals for me.
Despite the learners large group of numbers, I
feel that the school is very well run and that
the learners at this school have great
potential.
Of course, i have encountered a few challenges, amongst which were the facilities in
my classroom, where the walls had graffiti on them and I had to use an old chalk
board.
Apart from that, I don’t have too many bad things to say about the environment of the
school and the context of the teaching and learning taking place.

I am a big fan of the school’s principal and his managing style. I think he sets good
examples to his staff and subsequently, his learners.
I read somewhere that this school has established itself as one of the best schools in
Soweto, from absolutely nothing.
However, I had challenges of course and the challenge for me has been the large
group of learners in class.
All grades are overcrowded which contributes to the barriers of teaching and
learning. It is difficult to manage 60 learners in one classroom as this can contribute
