What inspired you to pursue a
medical education? I first gained
interest in becoming a doctor when
I was a child. I remember sitting in
a clinic and watching all the people
who came to the doctor for help
with a level of certainty that the
doctor could heal them. I’ve always
known that I wanted to be able to
help people, and becoming a physi-
cian would allow me to do that and
serve the people who wouldn’t oth-
erwise be able to receive that help.
Why did you choose to at-
tend MSM? I chose MSM because
during my interview, I immediately
felt that the culture fostered genu- which is a free weekly community

environment. I feel challenged to
do my best because I know the
expecta-tions are high, but I also
feel sup-ported and I’m confident
in the fact that I can reach out to
someone whenever I need help. I
also really wanted to continue
community outreach like I had in
years prior, and the fact that MSM
includes that in our curriculum
was a big bonus. Lastly, the
significance of being in Atlanta and
working with a patient population

the future is not lost on me.
