The Anthony and Beatrice Welters Regional Medical
Campus: Investment Budget
The Anthony and Beatrice Welters Regional Medical Campus will be sustained through a $25
million investment over five years. The proposed investment will be comprised of $3.9 million in
expendable funds over five years to support campus expenditures while a $21.1 million endowment is
established to yield an annual distribution of $1.25 million.
The Anthony and Beatrice Welters Equal Access
Endowed Scholarship: Investment Budget
The Anthony and Beatrice Welters Equal Access Endowed Scholarship will perpetually support 60
students annually with $20,000 to cover tuition and fees. When fully endowed, each year the Welters
Scholars will include 15 students per academic cohort, with 30 first- and second-year students on the
Atlanta campus and 30 third- and fourth-year students across three Regional Medical Campuses. Funds will
also distinguish and modernize the curriculum, to include problem based learning, quality assessment and
performance improvement and cultural competency.
