P -edand -ing adjectives
Many adjectives for feelings have two possible
forms, either ending in -ed or in -ing, e.g.,
frustrated and frustrating. He’s only 20,
We use the adjective ending in -ed for the person
who has the feeling (I was very frustrated that I
couldn't scuba dive). We use the adjective ending but he can speak
in -ing for a person or situation that produces the
feeling (/ couldn’t join in the conversation, which
eleven languages
was very frustrating).
