               opinion.
                4.  Sentence  Pattern:  Report  text  usually  uses  simple  present  tense
               sentence  patterns  to  provide  clear  and  accurate  information.    In

               contrast,  other  types  of  text  such  as  narrative  text  can  use  various
               sentence patterns, including past tense and future tense, to describe
               events that have occurred or will occur.
                5.  Nouns:  Report  text  uses  general  nouns,  such  as  in  the  language
               feature general nouns, to provide clear and accurate information.  On
               the  other  hand,  other  types  of  text  such  as  descriptive  text  can  use
               specific nouns to describe an object specifically.
                6.  Verbs:  Report  text  uses  related  verbs,  such  as  linking  verbs  or

               relative verbs, to provide clear and accurate information.  On the other
               hand, other types of text such as narrative text can use more subjective
               verbs to describe the events that occur.
                7.  Function:  Report  text  has  the  function  of  providing  clear  and
               accurate information about an object, while other types of text such as
               descriptive text have the function of describing an object specifically

               and subjectively.

               B.  General Structure of Report Text

               The basic structure of a report text has two main components that
               complement each other. namely General Classification and
               Description.
