C. Writing a Report Text

Steps for writing a text report

1. Theme analysis We have to start by creating a text title that describes
an animal, person, object, or place. For example, writing about
protected animals (lions, giraffes, elephants) or about the development
of cellphones in Indonesia, world population, etc.

2. Gather ideas This can be done using a mind map (idea mapping),

tables, or important points. Write only the important points, using
commas, dashes, or crisp marks. For example, if you write about
animals.

3. Separate the ideas of each paragraph. The first paragraph contains
habitat and physical characteristics. The second paragraph writes about
the food and habits of the animal. The third paragraph contains how
the animal defends itself, and so on.

4. Develop writing After each point is in its own paragraph, it will make
it easier for us to develop the paragraph.
