CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION


                   1.  Short Description


                              Have you ever gone on vacation and then told your friends about

                      your  vacation?  That  is  included  in  the  recount  text.  In  this  teaching

                      material,  we  will  discuss  recount  text.  Recount  text  is  a  text  that

                      retells  events  or  activities  that  occurred  in  the  past  that  have  been

                      experienced  before.  In  writing  recount  text  there  are  several  parts

                      that must be considered, namely the structure of the text and also the

                      rules of language. In recount text there are three structures, namely


                      orientation,  events,  and  re-orientation.  Recount text  uses  simple  past

                      tense and also adverbs.



                   2.  Requirements

                              In the previous material about recount text has been delivered.

                       To be able to understand this module, you are expected to have read

                       material  about  recount  text.  In  addition,  try  to  understand  the


                       structure  of  the  text  and  also  the  language  rules.  If  you  have  met

                       these  prerequisites,  then  you  will  be  able  to  describe  natural  events

                       and their impact on social life.
