ACWP: Automatic Coach washing plant at KCG station
Cost of the plant is 1.26 Cr. and AMOC cost for 5 years is Rs. 98 lakhs. For one rake to
be washed by using ACWP 1440 litres of fresh water and 5760 litres of recycled water
is being used whereas on manual washing 3600 litres of fresh water is being used
saving 60% of water. One operator per shift is required to operate the machine and one
entire rake is getting washed in duration of 15 minutes. The rake has to be moved at a
speed of 5 to 8 KMPH for effective cleaning. At Kacheguda depot 160 coaches will be
washed every day
Energy Neutral system : At 05 stations i.e. UMRI, DAB, KEK, SVN and BLSA
stations are working purely with solar energy.
As per CPCB instructions Water meters provided to inlet and outlet water
pipes at KCG, KRNT, NZB and BSX railway station for keeping log of water
consumption and waste water discharge.
CC cameras are installed to monitor the cleaning activities through CC
cameras.
