            2021/2022 Tertiary Education

            Grant Award Ceremony

            The Yayasan Belia Buddhist Malaysia
            (YBBM) organised an online awarding
            ceremony for the 2021/2022 Tertiary
Education Grant on 5 March 2022.

The grant was opened for applications in
October 2021 and 120 applications were
            received from 22 tertiary institutions.
            Among those, 57 applicants were
approved via an online interview and
two screening sessions. Each student was
            awarded RM1000.

The aims of the Tertiary Education
            Grant are to support underprivileged
            undergraduates financially as well as
to motivate students who are actively
            involved in tertiary Buddhist societies.
YBBM hopes that the beneficiaries will
continue to contribute to the work of
Buddhism and continue to work together
to promote activities that would benefit
            the public.

YBBM Tertiary Education Grant has thus
            far supported 565 undergraduates since
its inception in 1985, contributing a total
            of close to RM570,000.
