There are many Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and deities in

Mahayana Buddhism. We find these deities,

Bodhisattvas, Arahants and Pratyeka-Buddhas as

well as dharma protecting deities in major sutras like

the Ksitigarba Bodhisattva, Avatamsaka and Lotus

Sutras. Buddhahood is achieved by sentient beings.

Bodhisattvas are those going from the stage of

sentient beings to Buddhahood. Bodhisattvas help

and work with Buddhas to deliver beings. Deities

protects the 3 Jewels. In this theme we introduce to

you the many Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and other

deities.
