Page 33 - Suffering
P. 33
Stay with the one who knows [us]*?
We have a shadow or darkness looming within us. Not
Knowing is there in everyone. There are always things
we don’t like about ourselves like a shadow trailing us
everywhere we go.
There are always traumas that need to be healed. When we
run away from our own shadows those parts of ourself can
never be reconciled, forgiven and healed.
They will always haunt us, waiting to emerge when you least
expect it through depressing self-sabotage, unkindness to
others, vulgar ostentation, bursting anger and unhealthy
relationships. Coming to terms with the difficult emotions
we feel means being compassionate with ourself, loving
ourself just as we are – that is Understanding, Realising,
Knowing and Liberating oneself from suffering.
Running away from those parts of character we deny will
cause us to suffer. Acceptance and forgiveness generate
Understanding, Realising, Knowing and Liberation,
thus compassion for ourself and others.
Take It Easy, Make It Simple*
Realisation has a profound meaning in that one’s mind
penetrates or enters deeply into subjects of thought or
knowledge having deep insight or understanding of the
teachings of Gautama Buddha through one’s testing,
reflection, contemplation and putting into practice
[mind and body together].
This gives rise to KNOWING there is a path out of Samsara!
