                a- The Endoplasmic reticulum
Two types of ER are known:

Smooth (agranular) ER lacks ribosomes & makes proteins used in .
                                                                                                 the Cell.

Rough (granular) ER has ribosomes on its surface & makes proteins to

             EXPORT.

✓ Ribosomes are arranged in groups joined together with mRNA and called
polysomes. Both polysomes and ER are called ergastoplasm

            What is Function of ER?

1- Forming the Skelton of the cell
                2- Translocation of various substances
                3- Protein and fat synthesis
4- Helping in keeping certain enzymes and metabolites separate

            b- Ribosomes

            ■ They are minute, rounded to spherical bodies.

            ■ They are composed of RNA and protein.

            ■ They are characterized by their high protein synthesis.

✓ Most of ribosomes are attached to the outer surface of ER membranes.
Unattached ribosomes can be seen within the cytoplasm singly or attached in
                    groups (polysomes).

            c- Golgi complex

            Stacks of flattened sacs

                                             What is the Function?

1- Cell wall formation (primary and secondary cell wall) and in
                    secretion process.

            2- Intra- and intercellular transport.
