Egyptian Hyoscyamus
It consists of the dried leaves and flowering tops of Hyoscyamus muticus L. Family:
Solanaceae.
The plant is a perennial, indigenous and cultivated in Egypt. It grows wild in the sandy
districts of Egypt. The drug occurs in dry matted masses or broken loose pieces of shriveled leaves
intermixed with stems, flowering tops, and a few fruits.
