                     Turkish manipulated Opium occurs in sub-cylindrical cakes, about 9 cm
              high and 14 cm in diameter, coated with coarsely powdered poppy leaves, giving
              them greenish-grey mottled appearance.  A circular official label is attached to the
              side of each cake.  It contains from 10-15 % of morphine.

                     Persian or Iranian Opium:        occurs in brick-shaped, about 10 x 5 x 7 cm.
              Each wrapped usually in red paper.  At time, this opium has been moulded into
              other  forms  such  as  conical  masses  and  short  sticks.    It  contains  10-12.5  %  of
              morphine.

                     Indian Opium:  occurs in blocks, which are very dark brown or nearly black;
              internally, smooth, and homogeneous.  It is usually 8-9 cm; each weighing about 1
              kg and wrapped in two sheets of thin white paper and tied with string.  Blocks
              weighing about 5-10 kg, wrapped in polythene, have been reported.  Indian Opium

              contains about 13 % moisture and from 9-10.5 % of morphine.
