Gratitude
Spending a few minutes each day on a conscious act of appreciation to someone or
something is a great way to replenish your soul.
Take a moment once a week to write a thank you note, send a text or call someone to
express your gratitude.
Tip:
Make it a daily practice to write down three things you are thankful for. Taking a few
minutes to do this daily can shift your mood and brighten your spirits.
Did you know?
Expressing your gratitude is one of the simplest ways to feel happier and healthier and
increases your overall well-being. It is also one of the simplest, yet most powerful things we
can do for each other.
Take a hike!
(or a walk)
Go on a hike or a walk. Intentionally slow down the pace of your body and mind
while you feel the tranquility of your surroundings. Allow yourself to be fully present
to only what is around you. Pay attention to your movement and let go of any
agendas.
• Enjoy the moment. Contemplate your surroundings, listening to the
movement and sounds.
• Take a breath. Stand still for a moment, close your eyes, and take a breath.
Notice there is a stillness and patience even amid the movement of the
world around you.
• Connect. Feel how your feet connect to the ground. Take a moment to take
in the scents and smells. Allow yourself to focus on what you feel. Take it all
in and appreciate the opportunity you have been granted to be there, in
that moment, at that time.
