SKIN DISEASES



               Management:

                     Rest: This gives body a chance to fight the infection.

                     The  area  of  the  body  involved  should  be  elevated  as  high  as
                      possible.

                     Hygienic practices as( hand washing, daily bath,. wound  should
                      be covered with a gauze dressing ,bed linen, towels and clothing
                      should be cleaned separately from other family members while the
                      infection is healing).

                     Analgesics such as paracetamol.

                     The  course  of  antibiotics  should  be  completed.  It  include
                      Flucloxacillin, benzylpenicillin, or ampicillin/amoxicillin.

                     Regular follow-up till complete improvement occur.



                                                 II- Viral infection

               1.  Herpes Simplex

               Herpes is a common viral infection. It causes oral herpes - cold sores or
               fever blisters, and genital herpes - genital sores or sores usually below

               the waist.

               Types of herpes simplex viruses:
                     Herpes Simplex Type 1 (HSV-1) occurs above the waist

                     Herpes Simplex Type 2 (HSV-2) occurs below the waist

               Forms of herpes simplex:

               1- Primary infection:

               Which  occur  in  infants  and  children  who  have  no  immunity.  It  is
               characterized by (Painful, wide spread vesicle and erosion involved skin
               and      mucous       membrane.         Gingivo-stomatitis        (2-5     years     age),
               vulvovaginitis……etc.
