               Characteristics of CH. Nursing

               CHNg has 6 important characteristics

1- It is a field of nursing i.e. a specialty within the larger discipline.
2- It combines the specialized knowledge of PH with nursing practice

                     (e.g. epidemiology, vital statistics…etc).

3- It is population oriented and does not deal only with individual
                     clients.

4- It emphasizes health rather than disease or illness.

5- It involves interdisciplinary collaboration i.e. team work with other
                     professionals.

6- It promotes client participation by fostering a sense of responsibility
among people for their own health.
