Being a DJ and producer demands a kind of
duality. Certain duties command attention
during daylight hours, while others require
performance under cloak of darkness. Much of
the time, these souls work the day to own the
night. This can be an uncomfortable process for
some to embrace. Chicago-based electronic
artist Azzecca, aka Allie DeCastris, finds the
balance between sun and shadow as she
curates enlightening experiences on dance floors
in darkened surroundings. Her debut single and
