Lough Erne,
Co. Fermanagh
Spanning across 40 miles and consisting of Upper Lough Erne and Lower Lough Erne, a vast array of spectacular walks await to be explored. The Castle Archdale Forest is located on the eastern shores of Lower Lough Erne and has a series of looped routes including Tom’s Island walk. This trail journeys through deep woodland as the path leads you to the wide span of Lower Lough Erne which opens up ahead of you.
The Crom Estate is located along the shores of Upper Lough Erne and is part of the National Trust’s portfolio of Nature Reserves. Crom is home to the largest area of oak woodland in Northern Ireland and this peaceful landscape of woodland, islands and historic sites makes for a perfect walk on a bright autumns day. You will need to book your visit in advance via www.nationaltrust.org.uk/crom
