 Crawfordsburn Country Park, Co. Down
This natural retreat on the coast between Bangor and Holywood has a range of walks through meadows, beaches with views right across Belfast Lough and a glen that provides a gentle trail through mature beech wood with views of Lanyon’s viaduct. If you’re lucky you can also catch a glimpse of the stunning waterfall located within.
In Autumn, expect to see the woodland of Crawfordsburn transform into a vibrant landscape of colours as the beech trees lose their leaves and the ground becomes a carpet of beech nuts, cones, crunchy leaves and horse chestnuts – perfect for collecting conkers!
Great for families. Excellent playground for the kids. Plenty of walking and cycle paths!
